Kapha, one of three Doshas or body humors in Ayurveda, represents the principle of compactness, stability, strength and cohesion in body. It represents various fluids, mucus membranes and other tissues. Kapha has predominance of Water and Earth element. Its imbalance causes tendency to weight gain, loose skin with fat padding, cellulite, drowsiness and heaviness in body.
