Immunity in Ayurveda is not only a state of
having sufficient defense response of our
body to avoid infection, allergies or other
unwanted biological invasion but also means
the body’s ability to fight back weakness
and diseases. Ayurveda takes the concept of
immunity to the next level by considering
attributes of Positive Health. Health is not
merely a disease free state. Health is there
when various Doshas are balanced, different
tissue activities are functioning properly
as a result of balanced digestive and
metabolic activities and body waste material
are excreted normally by excretory
mechanisms.
This state of balanced health of tissues results in formation of
Ojas – the essence of perfect tissue metabolism that is responsible
for natural immunity. Ayurveda considers immunity as-
Vyadhikshamatva - capacity to resist diseases. Ojas enhances
the capacity to resist diseases and is characterized by disease
free body, healthy immune system, properly nourished tissues, a
natural glowing face full of happiness and content.
Ojas is negatively affected by poor dietary habits, day to day
stress, emotional stress and unhealthy lifestyle. These factors
affect Doshas – Vata, Pitta and Kapha - and thereby cause formation
of Ama and disruption in healthy nutritional order of tissue
formation. These factors causes drop in Ojas and predisposes to
different infective, degenerative and autoimmune disorders.
A strong healthy Immune System helps to fight off cold & flu,
protect you from developing cancer, heart disease and auto-immune
disorders. IMMUNOBLISS strengthen, balance and boost immune system
by enhancing Ojas.
