This is the main herb
for the hair and liver health in Ayurveda. This herb is found throughout
India and the southwestern U.S. Bhringaraj is a creeping and
moisture-loving herb; it has a short, flat or round stem and small white
flowers on a long stalk. It grows 3" tall; the leaves are opposite and
lance shaped. The whole plant of bhringraj has great medicinal value. It
is equally useful both, internally as well as externally. It is used
with success in Ayurvedic as liver tonic, rejuvenative and especially
good for the hair.

in skin diseases. A preparation obtained from the leaf juice boiled with
sesame or coconut oil is used for anointing the head to render the hair
black and luxuriant.

of peptic ulcers.Immunoactive property has also been observed against
surface antigen of hepatitis B-Virus. 3, 4 Eclipta
